We have tried loads of budget, beginner alto saxophones and the Elkhart 100AS consistently stands out as great value in its price-range and comes highly recommended as a first sax.
Designed to suit beginners on a budget, the Elkhart 100AS is easy blowing and nicely balanced with sturdy, responsive keywork and far better tone and tuning than found on some beginner saxes.
Elkhart saxophones are manufactured by Vincent Bach International, part of the Selmer group, who are one of the world’s oldest and most respected saxophone builders. They are well designed and we have found construction standards to be consistently good. Blue steel needle-springs and quality Italian pads are just a couple of examples of the attention to detail which has gone in to their manufacture and which make Elkhart saxes both reliable and easy to maintain.
The Elkhart 100AS is supplied as an outfit with a lightweight but protective backpack-style case, strap, reed, cork grease and polishing cloth.
Every instrument is inspected and approved by our technician before we dispatch it.
